Billing itself as "your safe, sober party headquarters," this four-story bathhouse has all the usual bathhouse amenities, plus a gymnasium, 56 private rooms, even in-and-out privileges. It received a top-to-bottom (yeah, yeah -- pun intended) in 2003, which has helped to increase its popularity, although the floors could be mopped a little more often. Because it's in the Central Business District, near quite a few hotels and office buildings, the crowd is usually split evenly among tourists and locals. The accent here is definitely on safe sex, which is not the case at The Club, which is draws more drunken and drugged-out revelers. Relatively low rates are another plus here. Every Wednesday sees strip shows. Keep in mind that the neighborhood around Flex is fairly desolate at night; you can park for free at any meter after hours or in nearby lots for $4 to $5 for the whole day, but most of this parking is not secure. Your safest bet is to cab it here. Membership is $10 for six months, $5/day, lockers $7, rooms $10. You can print a coupon off the Web site for a $5 first visit.
