Phoenix's huge and cruisey gay community favors this friendly, sprawling bathhouse with a heated outdoor pool, large sundeck, full gym, multitiered orgy room and private rooms. TVs in the private rooms feature seven viewer-selectable adult channels. The food and beverage area has a great view onto the hot tub and pool. A nice bit of luxury: The larger private rooms, which cost $5 and $10 more than the medium and small rooms respectively, have their own private baths. Because the police have been monitoring this place lately, Flex has closed off some of the gang-bang areas, but it's still a pretty steamy place after the bars close. The staff is easygoing and usually pretty welcoming. Directions: From Tucson on Interstate 17, exit at 19th Ave, follow the access road as it curves to the north. Flex is on the right about 3/4 mile from the exit. Building has a large sign. Membership required -- it's $5 for a 24-hour guest pass, $18 for a locker, $25 for a small room. Monday 4 p.m.-midnight is buddy night, Tues and Thurs 4 p.m.-midnight are half price, as is Wednesday 2 p.m.-midnight.
